G-BAFG and G-ALVC Tiger Moths

I was sat in the garden enjoying the sunshine and watching a buzzard and then a sparrow hawk glide by. Then I heard  a woodpecker drumming from a tree on the edge of Hob Moor. I grabbed my camera and went to try to find it.

It  was very high up the tree and it was difficult to see it. A pleasant addition to my patch list.

Since the start of the week I have noticed an increase in the number of planes flying over the house.

This afternoon I heard a different engine noise and when I looked up I saw a couple of Tiger Moths.

This one is G-ALUC and was built in 1940

The red one is G-BAFG and was built in 1943.
