Lunch stop on our way to the hotel in Ashington, for our 4 days birding holiday in Northumberland.
The weather was good and we enjoyed our walk around the reserve. After paying £3 for a key to the hide we spent some time looking over pond 2. The hide is an old building converted into a hide and with no shelf to rest on or use my hide clamp, the experience could have been better.
However we managed to start our trip list of with 37 birds.
Lots of willow warblers singing.
