Glossy Ibis

I have not posted anything for a while as I have been busy at Blacktoft helping with the large number of visitors who turn up to see the white tailed lapwing. Today visitors came from Cardiff, Dorset and Somerset. Others had been at Bempton to see a green warbler or had been at the migfest at Spurn.

After seeing the lapwing visitors were ready for home when a glossy ibis flew  in and landed on Singleton Lagoon. For the first time for 17 days  people were not crowding into a hide to see the white tailed lapwing as they had all moved hides to see the ibis. Not a brilliant shot due to the light. However a nice bird and number 164 for the year.
