After many unsuccessful attempts I managed at last to find a space to park my car at Staveley.
It was a pleasant sunny evening and not many people about. Lots of orchids by the side of the path.
From the second hide I could see the rafts that were used by the black headed gulls and the common terns. As usual the black headed gulls were making a lot of noise and would try to chase the terns away.
A mute swan family was also on the water.
a red kite flew over
On my way back to the car I saw this bullfinch.
A very pleasant couple of hours in the fresh air and no football1
