York Railway Pond

A nice day weather-wise, so after a trip to the supermarket I went for a walk to the railway pond.
It was nice to see blue sky, after yesterdays cloudy day.
The above picture was taken on Hob Moor

I went underneath the railway line, keeping to the left as per the sign.
I then walked along the path towards the pond/

There is still plenty of colour about and a surprising amount of food for birds.

Lots of blackbirds, house sparrows, goldfinches, magpies and woodpigeons.
This mallard was on the water.

I could hear a strange noise, and saw this squirrel on the tree trunk.

I am not sure if it was sending a message to this other squirrel.
