Wood sandpiper

 

Stopped at Blacktoft at the end of my journey to Cambridge,

Last night the sun made photography difficult and tonight it was poor light.

11 different waders on Marshland Lagoon.

Lapwings, avocets, dunlin, redshank, spotted redshank, snipe, curlew, black tailed godwits, greenshank, green and wood sandpiper.

A flock of goldfinches were feeding on the thistle heads, No matter how hard I listen to goldfinch singing I cannot make out the word charm, which I read somewhere it why a flock of goldfinches are called a charm!
