On duty at Blacktoft today.
Windy and a little on the cool side.
Lots of wildlife on the reserve, butterflies, dragonflies and birds.
Bearded tits were seen feeding on the insets on the mud at the edge of the reeds.
Marshland was the most popular lagoon.
Teal numbers are increasing and there are still mallard families.
Several little egrets and grey herons.
Wader wise, visitors could see, avocet, dunlin, curlew, redshank, spotted redshank, snipe, green and wood sandpipers, black tailed godwit, lapwing and greenshank.
An excellent variety of birds.
