Friday H&S checks at Fairburn and St. Aidans. I then went to the Lin Dike end of Fairburn and sat in the new hide.
Canada and greylag geese, mute swans, shelducks, mallard, gadwall, tufted ducks, cormorants, coots, lapwings and little grebes on the scrape. I decided to walk a little further along the path.
Lots of colour in the flowers
Speckled wood butterflies and this blue one
I spent about half an hour watching two brimstone butterflies as they flew close together. Not brilliant photos as their flight path was very erratic.
A pleasant start to the month of June.
