Back at Blacktoft today as I was delivering some display material for Mike to take to the Migfest.
Ate my lunch while sitting in Marshland hide.
The usual mix of waders on the lagoon. Black tailed godwit, ruff, redshank, spotted redshank, lapwing, snipe, dunlin and 3 curlew sandpipers.
The waders would come closer to hide as they were feeding and just before they got too close either a marsh harrier or sparrowhawk would fly over and all the waders would take to the air, some flew over the reed bed and landed on Ousefleet screen lagoon or settle back on one of the islands.
This was the closest they got. As I mentioned before with high tides due at the weekend we may get more water and more waders, how many curlew sands, little stints or phalaropes can we get?
