RSPB York Local Group coach outing to this reserve which is managed by The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester & North Merseyside.
This view is from the floating village. The Lookout was our first stop, from where we were able to see the sand martins using the purpose built bank.
The windows do not open in this hide so my pictures were taken through glass.
Common tern were nesting on the rafts.
A pleasant 3rd visit to this reserve with a day list of 40 birds seen plus 7 heard but not seen.
