Saturday 29th April, I ventured down the Lower Derwent Valley.
Managed to miss the garganeys at Bank Island, but saw this shelduck with rings on its legs.
The letters v and F were all I could make out. Outside the hide I saw my first whitethroat of the year, tick number 149.
My last stop was at North Duffield Carrs, and judging by the water levels, possibly my last visit this spring.
Still a whooper swan on the reserve along with about 40 mutes.
