Minster Peregrines

Had a spare 15 minutes in town today so popped in to see the peregrines.

I joined another chap who was watching the birds. The male was perched on a grotesque on the central tower. As the chap and I were talking we noticed that the male had left his perch.

As we were looking for him we saw this tiger moth, one of the planes that flew over the house earlier in the month.

The male peregrine then turned up at the nesting site.

As you can see, he was looking up. He then dropped down on to the ledge where the nest tray is. We assumed that the birds were having a "family meeting" as he was out of sight for a while. Then the female turned up, this could have been the bird he was looking up at.

She spent a short while on the ledge before dropping down.

I am not sure what was happening on the ledge.
The male then left.

The female was calling from the nest, so we presumed that he had gone hunting. I left shortly later.
