Sunny but cold Saturday afternoon at NDC.
No sign of the Mute Swans nest. I wonder if this is because the reeds have now grown to such an extent that there is now only 1 small island. 2 pairs of Tufted ducks on the lagoon, 1 Moorhen and a Coots nest.
Still lots of water visible at the far end of the reserve. Teal, Mallard, Shelduck and Mute Swans. A couple of Curlew were flying and making their bubbling call. A single Sand Martin and Lapwings chasing off Carrion Crows. A very quiet afternoon.
